Agreed. Remember we took a step towards that by putting your latest source up on Launchpad. The project is https://launchpad.net/zope2book , and is owned by the "Zope 2 Book team" (https://launchpad.net/~zope2book) which is owned by me. So to work on the book, folks can simply join the team, check out the bzr branch and start pushing changes. I'll approve anyone who wishes to join the team, or transfer ownership if someone else wants to run it. Also, someone should keep a fresh copy at some reasonable url and render the latest html nightly ("make" may be enough).

PS, I tried mirroring the book as wiki pages long ago, and it go no traction; feel free to try it again, but I was thinking a well-managed visible revision control system would attract more contributors of the kind needed.

Count me in. I will care about the PDF version of the Zope Book. I have the machinery in place for generating high-quality PDFs (even of documents with old content :-))

Given that hannosch and tres have picked this up at svn.zope.org, and they are two rather productive guys, I've begun the process of removing the launchpad project. Onward!
