The idea that XML is regarded with disdain by "a lot of Pythonistas" is a bit of a stretch. I think there are a

surprised a member of the Python core would spend all that time writing a book on a topic he disdains. [wink]
As users of Zope, we know what it is like to be receive some disdain from a certain segment of very smart Python people who
are so smart, they can't accept using popular technologies like Zope and Python. It's more interesting to write your own.
I agree that Phillip is very smart. I'm not, so I use XML. Makes me more productive. I'm <a

71% of professional developers expect to increase their usage of XML technologies.
Anyway, whatever floats people's boat. I use OS X, too. Makes me more productive, even if I have to
take some knocks from the hardcore types.
